Two girls, three cats, and one blind greyhound set off on a trip for which it took a lifetime to prepare.
No agendas, and no set goals, but all the comforts of home - if your home is on the move.
Well it snowed somewhere...but not here. We took half a day off work and hit the beach today. We're nearing the end of our Ft. Lauderdale stay so we wanted to play a little before we leave on Tuesday. We've had good momentum with working and tossed in a bit of play for good measure.
The beach is about five miles from our campsite so we walked on the beach and waded in the water for a couple of hours. The winds have been blowing jellyfish toward the shore and the lifeguards have the purple flags posted indicating "dangerous marine life present" so we didn't venture in for a swim.
We watched two guys playing with surfboards and para-sails and it looked like they were having a blast. They were able to get at least a six foot lift off of some of the waves. Looks fun.
We have a hot date with a couple of nice guys camping a few spots down. We're headed out for pizza and a serious game of Rummikub tonight. Bring it!
During the day, Purle is entertained by the abundance of skinks, lizards and gecko's in our campsite. At night, a cute little bunny (which was probably someone's pet at some point) has her rapt at the screened window.
