Nice rainbow after a good hard shower.

Ed and Frank

We met Ed and Frank last year and reconnected with them. These fellas are from Rehoboth, Delaware and will be in the area from November to March. They play a mean game of Rumikub and are excellent cooks and hosts. They know all the hot spots and bargain eating establishments in the area and introduce us to the nicest people.

Ocean Boulevard

We explored the touristy part of Lake Worth and walked around on Ocean Blvd. We had a little dinner and a nice walk.

This image is from the deck of the Old Key Lime House where we had dinner and a slice of Key Lime Pie.

A day at the park

We loaded up the trikes and spent the afternoon exploring John Prince Park. The park is loaded with Mottled Duck, Least Bittern, Wood Stork, Limpkin, Purple Gallinule, Sandhill Crane, Florida Scrub-Jay, Magnificent Frigatebirds, Roseate Spoonbill, Swallowtailed Kite, Least Tern, Chuck-will’s-widow, Peregrine Falcon, Ibis, Pelicans, Anhinga, American Coot, Boat-Tailed Grackle, Cattle Egrets and Great Egrets, Little Blue Herons and Great Herons.

The park has a ten mile paved bike path and another forty of unpaved paths for hiking and biking. It's a jewel in the middle of Lake Worth and conveniently located two miles down the road.

A Good Nights Sleep

We said goodbye to the bed that was originally made for the Tillotson's (the first owners of our Lazy Daze) but the old girl had to go. She was saggy and soft. We went with a new Serta iComfort. It was delivered this morning and I almost took a nap just to give it a test drive ( but I am not a napper....yet).

Lazy Daze - Gertie in Lantana, FL

When I first researched the Lazy Daze Motorhomes I ran across a blog by Andy Baird . He named his first Lazy Daze "Gertie". He's since sold Gertie to a nice fella named Harry who's camping in the same park as us. He stopped by and we sang the praises of Lazy Daze together for a while.

Jekyl Island

Brunswick Jaw-juh

We rang in the New Year at Blythe Island Park near Brunswick, Georgia, the westernmost point of the Atlantic seaboard. We were able to explore St. Simons and Jekyl Island two barrier islands off the coast. There's water everywhere you look. Freshwater sloughs, salt marshes, and the Intracoastal Waterway wind through the area.

The park was a large canopy of live oaks covered with Spanish Moss and the sites were surrounded with the privacy of saw palmettos, cabbage palms and pines.
