Hypoluxo Scrub Natural Trail Area

This park is a natural area that protects scrub and scrubby flatwoods habitats, two of the rarest natural communities in Florida. These scrub communities occur on sand ridges along former shorelines.

We were hoping to spot a gopher tortoise but it was chilly and I suspect they were burrowed in for the day.
